Johnny Cash's grave at cemetary Hendersonville by TIM P.

Description:
my brother taped this black&white movie, during our family visit at Nashville, Hendersonville... we loved to be here and visited with a lot of respect... the winds of storm Ike(that hit Houston TX so hard!) where here at the cemetary too, but it lost strenght after 2 days traveling, and that was good... visiting this place gave me an emotional moment... and being there , standing in that wind, looking at this lonely grave... was a spiritual moment too... people of Hendersonville are very friendly, we saw & met some after we drove from the cemetary to the first baptist church... where the funeral of mister Cash took place, a few years ago... and i must say, that a lot of people are friendly overthere also in Nashville and the other area's we went, like Memphis, Jackson, Tupelo... New Orleans, well all over Tennessee, Arkansas,Mississippi,Louisiana,Alabama and Florida... i hope to be there again, one day !!!!

The Ballad of the Forty Dollars - Johnny Cash & Waylon Jennings
The man who preached the funeral Said it really was a simple way to die ... He laid down to rest one afternoon And never opened up his eyes ... They hired me and Fred and Joe To dig the grave and carry up some chairs ... It took us seven hours And I guess we must have drunk a case of beer. ... I guess I ought to go and watch them put 'im down But I don't own a suit And anyway when they start talkin' about The fire in Hell, well, I get spooked So, I'll just sit here in my truck And act like I ...

An American Memorial Day Story. Perhaps it should be noted that while Driver's grave is one of only three sites authorized to fly the American flag 24 hours per day, there was no American flag at his grave nor was there one on the nearby flag pole.
