This is our favorite Cajun Festival of all time. The Breaux Bridge Crawfish Festival is world famous and one of the best in south Louisiana. Takes place the 1st week-end in May every year for 3 days and it's well worth the 4 hour trip to Breaux Bridge. This video was shot kind of early on Sunday morning before the crowds got there. By noon and into the afternoon and evening at the festival the dance floors are usually so crowded that you can barele move out there. They have 3 stages with continuous music, usually at least on cajun band and one zydeco band going all the time and then there's a smaller stage in a covered pavilion where local bands can perform and they always draw a huge crowd. First week-end in May every year---see ya at the festival!

I wanted to "bend" some notes and see how long I could "bend" them and "transition between" the notes... it adds dimension to a five note instrument and can be tricky until you get your timing right, the flute is cedar so it tends to want to be played softly and makes it a little easier since it is a small bore and the finger holes are smaller...feel free to post it ,comment on it ,and share it FREELY...its very easy to play as good or better than you have before... the secret is....Practice ... |
