![]() | Nuclear Threat is from Israel NOT Iran. Ezer Weizman once said "The nuclear issue is gaining momentum [and the] next war will not be conventional." From the 1950s the US trained Israeli nuclear scientists and providing nuclear technology, including a small 'research' reactor in 1955 under the 'Atoms for Peace' program. The French built a uranium reactor and plutonium reprocessing plant in the Negev desert, called Dimona. The Israelis lied, stating it was "a manganese plant, or a textile factory". In return for uranium, Israel supplied South Africa with the technology and expertise that allowed the white supremacist regime to build the "apartheid bomb". In 1979 US satellite photographs revealed the atmospheric test of a nuclear bomb in the Indian Ocean off South Africa, Israel's involvement was quickly whitewashed by a carefully selected scientific panel, kept in the dark about important details. Israeli sources have since revealed "there were actually three tests of miniaturised Israeli nuclear artillery shells". Mordechai Vanunu worked as a nuclear technician at Dimona. A supporter of Palestinian rights, Vanunu believed it was his duty to warn the world about the danger Israel posed. In 1986, he smuggled out photographs showing that the plant was producing enough plutonium to make 10 to 12 bombs a year, and that at least 200 miniaturised bombs had been built. |

![]() | Nuclear Verification in the Islamic Republic of Iran The United Nations International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) has filed its latest report on the implementation of safeguards and relevant provisions of Security Council resolutions in the Islamic Republic of Iran. Timeline leading up to the current report In December 2006 and again in March 2007 the UN Security Council passed resolutions requiring Iran to comply with the Nuclear Non Proliferation Treaty (NPT) and urging it to implement a number of safeguards in its nuclear program. In June 2007 IAEA Director General Mohamed ElBaradei outlined that "diplomacy and negotiation" provided the only durable solution for the implementation of safeguards and relevant provisions of Security Council Resolutions in Iran. In the months from June to August a number of IAEA inspections were carried out along with meetings and interviews with officials and technicians involved in Iran's nuclear program. On 27 August, the IAEA Secretariat released the text of a work plan agreed between Iran and the IAEA titled "Understandings of the Islamic Republic of Iran and the IAEA on the Modalities of Resolution of the Outstanding Issues." On 30 August, Director ElBaradei released a report on the implementation of the NPT safeguards. This contained a number of outstanding questions that required actioning. On 15 November, Mohamed ElBaradei circulated the current report to the IAEA Board of Governors on the Implementation of the NPT Safeguards Agreement and Relevant provisions of Security Council Resolutions in the Islamic Republic of Iran. The findings of the current IAEA report * The work plan agreed by the Secretariat and Iran in August, in which Iran has finally committed itself to address the outstanding issues relevant to its nuclear activities, is proceeding according to schedule. * As the report makes clear - the scope and nature of Iran´s centrifuge enrichment activities - there has been good progress in connection with the verification of Iran´s past acquisition of P-1 and P-2 centrifuge enrichment technologies. The Agency has concluded that the information provided by Iran in that regard is consistent with the Agency´s own investigation. * Verification of the uranium particle contamination at a technical university, as well as the alleged studies and other activities that could have military applications, will, in accordance with the work plan, take place over the next several weeks. * The Agency will also continue to seek corroboration and verification of the completeness of Iran´s declarations concerning its nuclear material and activities as per the agreed work plan. * The IAEA's knowledge about specific aspects of Iran´s current programme has diminished since 2006, when Iran ceased to provide the Agency with information under the additional protocol and additional transparency measures. * Progress over the past two months has been made possible by an increased level of cooperation on the part of Iran, in accordance with the work plan. With regard to Iran´s current nuclear activities, we have been able to verify the non-diversion of all declared nuclear material. We also have in place a safeguards approach for the Natanz facility that enables us to credibly verify all enrichment activities there. However, as with all States that do not have an additional protocol in force, we are unable to provide credible assurance about the absence of undeclared nuclear material and activities. This is especially crucial in the case of Iran, because of its history of undeclared activities, and the corresponding need to restore confidence in the peaceful nature of Iran´s nuclear programme. I urge Iran, therefore, to resume without delay the implementation of the additional protocol. The Agency needs to have maximum clarity not only about Iran´s past programme but, equally or more important, about the present. I should note, however, that the Agency has no concrete information about possible undeclared nuclear material or weaponization activities in Iran, other than the outstanding issues I have already mentioned. |
![]() | Trailer for new animated film: 9-11/9-11 9-11/9-11 is a new animated film directed by the American conceptual artist Mel Chin and animated in Chile. The terrorist attacks of 9-11-2001 in New York forever scarred the trust of the American people. On the same date, 28 years before, the military overthrow of a democratically elected president ushered in 17 years of autocratic rule under Augusto Pinochet, resulting in the deaths of more than 3,000 people and the torture of tens of thousands. 9-11/9-11 is a tale of two cities and a tragedy of two times... a story of love and hope wrecked by overt - and covert - manipulations of power. Working together with Mr. Chin were Chilean animation studio Planovisual and American filmmaker Chip Schneider. Ann W. Harithas & Creative Time, Inc. are Executive Producers. 9-11/9-11 premiered on September 11, 2007 with simultaneous screenings in Santiago de Chile and the four largest cities in the US --New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, and Houston. The music in this video is used with kind permission from the band Explosions in the Sky. Many of the animators who worked on 9-11/9-11 grew up at the time of coup in Chile... and the violence that came with it. The film is presently screening at film festivals around the world. |

![]() | Liberal Fascism (part one) Please keep all comments and debates civil, no vulgarities, ECT... Many of the things that fascist liberals push that are allegedly good for us, actually end up harming us. Such as the Kyoto treaty, many other so-called forms of environmentalism, Global Poverty Act, so-called "peace activism", socialized health-care, allegedly fighting big business. The Kyoto treaty (and many other forms of environmentalism), essentially sacrifices our sovereignty, and allows other governments to tax us and legislate some of our laws. It's also a form of global social welfare "Robin Hood" steel from the rich to give to the poor. It destroys the big business in the US they can't meet the tough labor laws, labor costs and environmental standards. The big US businesses essentially break up, and moved to foreign countries where the labor laws are cheaper and there are less labor laws and environmental laws. The net result is the businesses US businesses fracture and coalesce to become even larger foreign/world businesses, that pollute more are less law-abiding and more likely to use sweatshop labor: like with children in dangerous working conditions. The Global Poverty Act, is essentially a major tax increase for the US taxpayer, to be forced to have more of a commitment to foreign welfare (even to countries that are hostile to us). It's another form of socialism banditry, as Robin Hood idealism. It would make the Iraq war look cheap. The so-called "peace activists" that are against the war on terror, therefore they are inadvertently promoting terrorism. Some of them are more direct and egregious, such as the fascist liberals that faked war atrocities (and the liberal media and politicians in such that jumped on the bandwagon with the false accusations), that inspired hatred and more anti-Americanism, that is still being used to raise funds for terrorism. The "peace activists" are aiding and abetting terrorism. Many of the so-called "peace activists" are actually promoting terrorism and hate. Unfortunately they are too shallow minded to pay attention to all the facts and logic. Liberals will often resort to any method to achieve their objectives, even if it is immoral. Any means to accomplish their objectives. They often don't care or are oblivious to the end outcome (the full impact of their agenda and methodology). Socialized medicine, actually is a front for big business, it destroys the current health-care industry itself, but the government becomes the health-care industry. It would almost certainly make health care more bureaucratic, less choice, more rationed (longer waiting lists and more denials), more government control. (In other words they will probably find some excuse to dodge giving you care, or refusing to give you care on the grounds that you need to try "politically correct" treatment first. In other words the government is going to tell you that you can't smoke, you can't drink, they're going to tell you what to eat, how much exercise to get, what type of exercise, ect...) The government will end up dictating your life. You might be told that you can't play ball sports, or other athletic sports or activities that might be deemed risky. |
