Description:
This is a "must see" attraction when you visit St Louis. It is housed in a 4-story building formerly used as a shoe factory. So inside there are massive spaces to fill. The museum is for kids of all ages. For the younger ones, there are many climbing/crawling activities through intricate mazes. One maze, called The Caves, is vertical and reaches to the top of the building. In one area, younger children can listen to a story teller, or do art projects with clay, paint, plaster. For the adults, there are many artistic displays --- not paintings, but hand-made objects as well as discards from demolished buildings (concrete objects, wood bars, a working mini-train, a snack shop full of nostalgic artifacts, and so much more). This video shows the outdoor climbing area --- you can see the unique nature of the museum. More delights wait inside.
