Title:
$100 Solution Service Learning Project - Preparations and Expectations

Description:
On the Fall 2009 voyage of Semester at Sea, students have the unique opportunity to participate in a service learning project called The $100 Solution. The project poses a simple question: "What can you do to enhance the quality of life in a community?" Started in 2005 by the Rotary Club of Prospect-Goshen, Kentucky, students learn problem-solving skills and improve the lives of others through gifts of $100 to individuals and communities. Global Nomads Group builds awareness of global issues such as service learning and social justice by documenting projects such as this and bringing them back by way of teleconference to thousands of students in classrooms all over the United States.
