The Diploma is a new qualification for young people aged 14-19, designed with employers, to ensure that young people are better prepared for their working lives. This short film features large and small employers, from the public and private sectors, explaining why they are such passionate supporters of the Diploma. Interviewees, including representatives Toyota, Rolls Royce, Channel 4 and Vodafone, discuss the ways that the Diploma will equip young people with the personal skills (teamwork, creativity, initiative), core functional skills (maths, English, ICT) and knowledge and skills relating to specific employment sectors, that employers want.
