Mizo dancers performing at FOOTPRINTS08,the First North-East Fest,St.Joseph's College,Bangalore. Cheraw is a very old traditional dance of the Mizos who believe the dance to have existed since the 1st Century AD.This dance is usually performed on the occasion of 'Bhuza Aih'(the bumper harvest)by an individual family.It is performed in marriage ceremonies and various other events to celebrate the success.Performed by selected boys and girls with exceptional skills,it is also performed on moonlit nights.
