 | NEUSCHWANSTEIN CASTLE El castillo de Neuschwanstein se construyó en una época en la que los castillos y las fortalezas no eran necesarias desde el punto de vista estratégico. En lugar de ello, nació de la pura fantasía: una bella y romántica composición de torres y muros en perfecta armonía con las montañas y los lagos. La combinación de varios estilos arquitectónicos y la artesanía interior a inspirado a generaciones de adultos y niños. Éste castillo es un gran tributo a la fantasía y la imaginación. El rey exigió dos condiciones en su construcción: primero, que sería edificado por trabajadores bávaros y con materiales bávaros, sin apenas excepciones, lo que favoreció la creación de una poderosa artesanía en Baviera, que ha hecho de ella uno de los mayores enclaves industriales de Alemania. Y segundo, que por fuera debía asemejar los castillos de los cuentos de hadas que tanto admiraba en su juventud, pero por dentro debía contener todos los avances tecnológicos de la época. Así, ambas exigencias se cumplieron: el castillo asemejó tanto los relatos tradicionales alemanes que fue elegido por la Disney como modelo para el castillo de La bella durmiente (1959), el cual es el principal símbolo (de hecho, hay una réplica en este parque) del Disneyland Resort Paris o Eurodisney. Por dentro, además de continuas referencias a estos cuentos o a diversas leyendas y personajes medievales (Tristán e Isolda, Fernando el Católico), contiene una completa red de luz eléctrica, el primer teléfono móvil de la historia (con una cobertura de seis metros), una cocina que aprovechaba el calor siguiendo reglas elaboradas por Leonardo da Vinci, y maravillosas vistas y paisajes a los Alpes, incluyendo una encantadora cascada que podía contemplarse desde la habitación del monarca. |
