Muddy Waters played a Fender at age 45....but sitting on the banks of the Mighty Mississippi at age 15, buying a guitar was not an option and just a dream...this is how he did it....this is how he got his start. This is the combined collection of Shane Speal's cigar box guitars, Bill Jehle's museum and some of my photos I have collected over the years. I have so many more photos but tried to pick the best and most colorful guitars from the museum for you to see. I only had only 4 minutes for the video but about 400 antique Cigar box guitar shots so I could only choose about 30. I'd like to thank Shane for his dedication to document the history and researching the cigar box guitar. There is so much more to learn but only one lifetime, I hope all viewers of this short film understand the countless hours spent gathering all this information and I hope you enjoy....most important, try it yourself...build a cigar box guitar and ask yourself..."Do I have Beans?????"
