 | The Nye Incidents pt. 4 Authors Whitley Strieber and Craig Spector discussed their new graphic novel The Nye Incidents which concerns mysterious cases of human mutilation, which may be connected to alien abductions. The incidents in the book were inspired by a number of real life events. "Whitley had a story he was too scared to write," Spector said, explaining how he was brought in on the collaborative project. A 2002 case in Pennsylvania that Linda Moulton Howe investigated involved a man whose unusually decomposed body was found in a separate location from his abandoned car, and was associated with a witness seeing a body floated up in a beam of light. Other cases involved homeless men dropped on rooftops in Northern New Jersey, said Strieber. In their book, Spector said he focused on forensic aspects, setting up the question whether a serial killer was imitating aliens or vice versa. UFO researcher Dr. Roger Leir joined the program for a segment and noted that in the New Jersey cases, a medical professional told him the men were cut in a style similar to the cattle mutilations, with large amounts of hemoglobin found on the edges of the wounds. He also discussed the 'Chupa chupa' UFO attacks in Brazil, which took place in 1977.  | The November 2003 Morehead, KY (Screaming Woman) Incident Originally aired on CPC21 in Northern Kentucky. Produced by Kenny Young. Reporting by Donnie Blessing. This is the REAL story that Strieber's hit fictional book, The Grays, is based on! "It seems the [Grays] story line is based in a small Kentucky town called Wilton. Some of the main characters are the Callaghans. The wife, Dan Callaghan, who is a psychology professor at Bell University in this town and a son named Connor. They reside on a pine covered road called Oak Rd. They have a neighbor who also works at the university named Marcie Cotton. One night Marcie Cotton becomes the victim of the Grays. Something is seen in a field by the professors house. It was first thought to be a fire, then a balloon and finally a UFO. There are screams heard coming from the UFO. A woman is screaming. "Oh God, please, somebody help me." The fire dept., police dept. are called. The UFO takes off with the woman aboard. The field is searched with infrared thermo devices. No trace of the woman is found. Does anybody remember the fascinating case that Kenny Young and I investigated in November of 2003? We called it the Screaming woman of Morehead Kentucky case. Kenny and I were featured on Coast to Coast with that case. Well, Whitley was fascinated by it also. So fascinated in fact that some of his characters in his book sound very similar to the people we talked to that were involved in the screaming woman case. Our case involved a psychology professor from Morehead Univeristy and his sons. The sons saw the UFO come down in the field next to their house. A woman was heard screaming, "Oh God, please somebody please help me" The fire and police were called by another neighbor who heard the screams. We interviewed the lady who lived down the road who also saw the UFO. After the interview Kenny and I both firmly believed she was the woman who was screaming for help. She was ex-military. All her clocks had died on the night in question. Her dog wouldn't come from under the bed that night and her daughter refused to sleep in her room any longer. Later that night both told us they just went out on the back porch and stared at the sky for an hour. They did not have a clue why they did this. So you see, our Marcie Cotton came back! Does Marcie in the book come back? You'll have to read the book. Now if you are still not convinced that these characters are based on the screaming woman of Morehead , Kentucky I'd like to use a quote from the book. Page 101 paragraph seven. Connor is speaking, "Try googling 'gray aliens' sometime. You'll find more then four thousand references. Plus, this business of a UFO descending with a screaming woman inside happened in Kentucky before. Morehead, 2003, same situation, with one difference-no video. Lots of nine-one-one calls, but no video and therefore no story" Ahhh...but Whitley..... there was a story even without video.
