A-Train - Adventureland Park Iowa
A full ride on the A-Train at Iowa's Adventureland Park. For some reason, the train runs much slower these days than it used to - perhaps some of the track areas are needing some work. Recorded on a Sony HDR-CX7 HD memory stick camera.
Two UP Freight Trains in Boone IA
Here's some video I shot of two Union Pacific freight trains passing through the Story Street grade crossing in downtown Boone, Iowa, on September 23rd, 2008. Both trains have an SD9043MAC diesel on the point. The engineers really lay on the horn - I learned later on the quiet zone in Boone went into effect only a few days after I was in town. What a shame.

Riding the train at Camp Courageous near Monticello, Iowa
Charlie Becker, executive director of Camp Courageous near Monticello, Iowa, hosts a ride on the camp's new replica riding train, which runs about a quarter mile through the camp's grounds. The train was donated by longtime camp supporters Tom and Nan Riley of Cedar Rapids.
