Healing For A Broken World - Ch 9
http://www.calvin.edu/calvinmediafoundation/hfabw_home.htm Chapter 9 of the Video "Healing For A Broken World" deals with the topic of the environment and what the Bible says about how we should interact with it. Many Christian desire to act as responsible citizens, but are uncertain how to do so in a truly Christian manner. This video series, consisting of 12 ten-minute segments, will help. It uses concrete, real-world examples to explore basic biblical principles for guiding our responses to often difficult public policy issues such as poverty, terrorism, and AIDS in Africa. It is based on Steve Monsma's book, Healing For A Broken World: Christian Perspectives on Public Policy and can be used either alone, or in conjunction with the book. Though primarily intended for class and church group discussion, the video series is also valuable for individual reflection and growth. This video features Richard Mouw, President of Fuller Theological Seminary. Many other Christian Scholars and public policy experts are also featured, such as Richard Cizik, John Dilulio, Robert Seiple, and Jennifer Butler. Everyday Christians also share their stories and perspectives. A study guide is included. It includes for each of the 12 video segments a brief explanation of its central theme, an outline of it, and questions to stimulate discussion and reflection
