This is mainly a private video made for my friends who hiked the Appalachian Trail with me in 2007.
Strates' Train from Strates Shows, Inc.
Strates Shows, Inc. is the only railroad carnival still traveling in the United States today. The Orlando, Florida based carnival company uses a 61-car train to transport the show's equipment and employees to various locations throughout their seven-month season. In one season alone the train will visit 16 different locations and cover more than 6500 miles.

BERKSHIRE MOUNTAIN BAKERY We stopped by Berkshire Mountain Bakery on a day when they were making 1500 Pizza Crusts for Baba Louie's Pizza. It was quite something to see Richard Bourdon, the owner/baker working along with a few other workers making the crusts. We got to see the whole process. We sampled several of their breads...they have them right there (along with olive oil for dipping) and some of their new, delicious cookies. AT Thru-hike: Moosilauke in NH (Oct. 12, 2006)
This was a bear of a mountain. And it was slippery to boot. Since I was making up the piece that I missed (my hernia recovery period), I was heading south--the northern face (which I went up) is VERY steep. Second time I'd climbed that mountain, second time I'd gone up that side. I must be a glutton for punishment! Read/See more: ellishiking.com
