This one has a goat skin head tacked on to a salad bowl hand cafted by a local wood turner, Ron Thompson. I also demo the banjo. Please be kind, I'm a beginner (a month ago I could barely bum-ditty). The quality of the video isn't as good as I'd like. ![]() | Run, Rabbit, Run Pardon the rough video. Wanted to show off my homemade gourd banjo. I used the neck from my Prust tackhead. The tune is from RD Lunceford's album "Cotton Blossom" - It is an old slave song. Lunceford writes "this song was used to alert escaped slaves to the presence of 'paterollers' or slave-hunters in the area." I think it fits nicely on the gourd. |
