Title:
Swivel Technique
Description:
Well my range of motion during the swivel isn't extreme enough to cause damage to origin of the Gastrocnemius, which connects behind the knee on the femur. Feel the upper more outside quarter of your calves while performing the swivel. It should flex on and off. If you're feeling pain in the ankle or knee try relaxing more. You should focus only on the plantarflexion movement of the talus in your ankle. As in only worrying about stepping back up into heel up. The heel down motion is a relaxing step. I just let my leg fall into heel down to only be thrown back up by the pushing motion off the ball of my foot. soooooo, if there's pain in the front of your knee, relax, you're probably focusing too much on lifting your foot and activaiting the Tibialis anterior muscle. the muscle by your shin. Relax! drumming isn't about forcing a lift. relax relax relax

![]() | Moeller on pedal This technique (I do regret referring to it as toe-heel now) is much more effective than the heel toe technique in my opinion, but I don't think it should be named heel-toe. I refer to it as the moeller technique on the feet since it resembles the mechanisms! |
