CSX Q643 heading towards Avon on the Crawfordsville Branch Sub. Train was 124 cars, led by BNSF 1102 (C44-9W), followed by CSX 8776 (SD60M), CSX 2638 (GP38-2), CSX 1534 (GP15-1), and CSX 1513 (GP15T). The Crawfordsville Branch Sub is old P&E trackage that now ends in Crawfordsville, but used to run to Peoria, IL. Foreign power, especially BNSF, is starting to make it onto this subdivision more and more. Service has picked up in recent years with 6-10 trains a day, including Amtrak's Cardinal/Hoosier State.

CSX R-184 Through Cusseta, Al
March 21, 2008 4:16 PM CDT Here's a shot I've been wanting to get for quite a while now. This is CSX R-184.21 making its way through the reverse S curve just north of Cusseta, Al. This is actually a train ID I've never heard of before. I find it somewhat strange for a intermodel to be coming south at this time of day around these parts. Enjoy!

CSX 8776 Leads SD40-2 with General Merchandise through Braddock
This is the best of a video we could get here. We were gently strolling along through the Ghost Town of Braddock, Pa. When suddenly the gates activated and we raced to get to the crossing but had beaten us. CSX SD70M 8776 leads a SD40-2 on a freight. Copyright 2008* West Keystone Productions

At the west end of the NS yard at Bellevue a former Pennsy branch line crosses the NKP mainline on its way from Columbus to the coal docks at Sandusky Ohio (Back in steam days you can see Pennsys famed J1 class 2-10-4 pulling loaded & empty drags up to the docks). Several miles south, the branch line crosses the ex B&O mainline from Chicago-Pittsburgh. CSX Southbound Runby Through Loachapoka, Al
December 8, 2007 8:20 AM CST Here we have a southbound CSX coming through Loachapoka, Al. This is another one of those spots I've been wanting to shoot for quite a while. The sun didn't cooperate too well this day and as a result kind of greyed everything out. Just wait untill spring, some of the trees around this spot get quite colorful & should ass some extre "essence" to the shots. There still some leaves in the trees, mostly because of the high tempratures we've been having here lately ...
CSX Q421 and Q283 climb Washington Hill
At milepost 129 on the CSX Berkshire Sub, Q421 stuggles uphill with CSX 4789, 4732, and 5258 leading a heavy train of Boston trash and general freight. Just as he clears, Q283 comes up the #2 track with CSX 612 and GCFX 3078 pulling a long string of empty autoracks as they chase Q421 uphill.
