Basse danse La Magdalena

Title:
Basse danse La Magdalena

Description:
Basse danse La Magdalena by Pierre Attaingnant. I believe this track was written sometime in the 1520s/30s and would have been danced to. It is a beautiful piece of music which I have accompanied with various images, of which most are from the sixteenth century.

Hardwick Hall -- an overview
Images of Hardwick Hall in Derbyshire, one of the greatest Elizabethan buildings in England. Ok -- I know I am not that inventive with my videos (being that I take stuff from documentaries/film and not create it from scratch) so I decided to do something a little different and set clips from a series on Hardwick Hall to Elizabethan music. I want the brief video to give a general impression of the grandeur of the place. The numerous tapestries on the walls have faded with time but back in the C16th they would have been bright and colourful. The artwork too is superb and I will try to post clips from the documentary on this. The music is by John Dowland, an English composer (1563-1626)
