Title:
David Coons: Supporting Fishing Has No Boundaries at Lac Courtre Oreilles

Description:
David Coons helped support the program "Fishing Has No Boundaries" when it first started in Northern Wisconsin over 20 years ago, providing fishing experiences to mentally and physically handicapped individuals. About 15 years ago, Coons fell off a scaffold at a construction site and shattered his feet, ankles and leg bones and despite healing, is now confined to a wheelchair most of the time. A member of the Lac Courte Oreilles Ojibwe Tribe, and growing up in Whitefish on the Reserve, Coons has always fished and has worked with a positive attitude to volunteer his time helping this program grow.
