 | 2007 Soulforce Equality Ride: Brigham Young University The westbound bus of the 2007 Soulforce Equality Ride stops at BYU for the 4th stop of its two month tour. This is the second year the Equality Ride has visited Brigham Young University. Organizers have been attempting for months to plan dialogue with the university, which has been uncooperative. Despite this, the Ride hosted several days of panel presentations, discussion groups, meal gatherings, and community outreach. They found an overwhelming desire by students and the community to engage in this dialogue. This video is a sampling of the events near the BYU campus on their last day in town. |

 | WARNING to Christian Parents of Gay Kids!! It's the same ole story; Gay kid grows up in a fundamentalist Christian household with parents pressuring him/her to change. The parents answer for this change is prayer and it never comes and sometimes the child commits suicide because they know deep in their gut they can't change their sexual orentation anymore than thier color of eyes. The phsychological terror inflicted upon that poor kid is too much too bear. This is abuse and it is going on in millions of households and churches right now as you read this. Gay kids pressured to change something God never intended to have altered. This is why suicide can result. Most don't commit suicide but they are still victims of the abuse and deal with it the best they can and many get so severely depressed, start withdrawing and so on. THIS HAS GOT TO STOP! History repeats itself in the minds of those who do not know history. SO we don't need no more senselesss suicides as a result of Christian Fundamentalism. They have killed thier many millions through the centuries for the same reason because someone else was different than them or believed different than them. SInce when do they have a free pass to go on wrecklessly destroying lives in the name of God? This type of religious brainwashing is dangerous. Anyway this book is a great and informative read and it is a wake up call to many Christian parents. They need to educate themselves on this subject and stop the ignorance. Also They need to spread the word and get your churches to accept everyone for who they are. They can no longer be the gatekeepers to Jesus. There is alot of blood on thier hands. I leave you with these words from Jesus: "Woe to you religious hypocrites, because you shut off the kingdom of Heaven from men; for you do not enter in yourselves, nor do you allow those who are entering to go in." So please let the gay christians seek God as they were created, and don't shut them off from the Father God.
