The fire had already broke through the roof and consumed most of the three story historic building when the fire was discovered. Once the mansion of a founding pioneering family of Gig Harbor, this structure was also home to several different restaraunts. One of which I remember from the late 70's when it was the french restaraunt, Le Domaine. I don't know when the theater group had taken over the building. It was obvious from what hadn't burned that the past 30 years had been hard on it. The theater group had just sold the empty vacant building to a contractor who was going to restore it back into another high end restaurant. The cause was ruled accidental.
