 | Sea Turtle Nest #3 Hatching @ Carolina Beach, NC 8/30/2007 This is an 8:35 video I took of a loggerhead sea turtle nest hatching at Carolina Beach, NC on August 30, 2007. This nest bore 123 live hatchlings. This video was shot under natural light until towards the end of the hatching when I needed an infrared light to brighten the subjects. It is very unusual for a sea turtle nest to hatch during daylight hours. |
