Lions Club Balloon Festival 2008 - Part 2
The Lions Club Balloon Festival and Fair is held in Highland Village Texas, the third weekend in August every year. The festival includes hot air balloons, live music, arts and crafts exhibits, rides & games, a car bash, bounce houses, climbing wall, food & drink including beer and wine. Battle Creek walk aims to stop violence
So far in 2009, there have been seven homicides in Battle Creek. Two have occurred within the past week. On Sunday, more than 100 community members gathered in honor of the lives lost to acts of violence. They hope to raise awareness so that similar incidents can be reduced.
