This is just a test reel for my first on-hand experience with a 16mm film camera. I rented the dust-gathering Eclair NPR camera from Baylor when I was a student there. Unfortunately it has been my only experience with 16mm thus far but I considered the opportunity invaluable as it is rather expensive to shoot 16mm without free rentals from school. The music is a track from a Ghosts and Vodka album.

A very cheap experiment with an anamorphic lens mounted onto an Arri S 16mm film camera. This was also an expirment to see how well the 12 year-old reversal film stock would hold up. Because it was an experiment, a professional telecine transfer was not employed.

Classic sci-fi that influenced many later directors and films. Hard to find- I did a poor job shooting this from a 16mm film which I can't borrow again, was unable to make the subtitles clearer- but i hope there is enjoyment anyway, YT has several dubbed-in English versions- one not too good (the narrator uses the phrase, "the head experimentater" making me think for all his perfect accent he is not a native english speaker- it hurts the solemn mood of the film when such comical gaffs occur ...
