60004 videos

EWS (now DB Schenker) 60004, being overtaken by The Lancs Links railtour, hauled on this leg by Freightliner 66957 in December 2008. 60004 followed the railtour to, and took over haulage of it at Southport. Filmed from on board the railtour, passing the former Royal Mail 'Railnet' Depot, between Warrington Bank Quay & Winwick Junction.

On the 21st August 2009, DB Schenker "Tug" 60004 in EWS livery hauls the empty Jarrow Oil Tanks train north from Lindsey Oil Refinery to Jarrow. This train is now one of the only regular class 60 hauled trains on the network. GNERvideos cameraman GNERman

Rare to get a Class 60 on this working nowadays too: 60004 is seen departing Purley yard and passing Purley station on time with 6Y92, 1835 Purley-Cliffe empty Brett hoppers. Making a nice sound and light was spot on too :-)

The location is Tamworth High Level and I have to say it was a close call here..I arrived from Stafford at 1445 knowing that it wouldnt be very long before 6E41 Westerleigh-Lindsey was due to thunder over the top, so made hastily up to the top level. Things were somewhat complicated due to an incident near Derby which meant services to and from there were suspended...but luckily, at 1450 60004 came round the corner with a good rake of tanks on the train!

Omdat DEIII 27 op 26-04-09 getransporteerd wordt, van Tilburg naar het spoorwegmuseum via Arnhem, werd besloten om de 2225 dit klusje te laten doen. Het is 25-04-09 13.28 als de 2225 Tilburg Reeshof passeert met 7 lege containerwagens richting Tilburg Werkplaats, om daar de 27 op te pikken.

A variety of locos seen at Margam Knuckle yard on a wet and windy afternoon. We see Class 60 60004 out of use for the day, 08630 'Bob Brown' preparing the afternoon Coils for Trostre to leave behind 60054 later, Corus's Bagnall/Brush diesel no 905 of 1957 vintage seen shunting out of the steel works into the Knuckle Yard, and finally 66230 arrives in heavy rain with a train of coal from Onllwyn Washery...something a little different, and I hope you enjoy it.
