87022 "Cock o' the North" passes through Wolverhampton High Level (twice) with ECS as passengers await three hours with little to no information before being told that the tour was cancelled. The Cl.87 fleet bows out with a whimper after 34 years service on the West Coast mainline.

29.12.07 was to be a big day for class 87 and their followers, and all who were to board THE ELECTRIC SCOT FAREWELL, but unfortunately problems with the stock saw the final 87 tour cancelled. It is seen here passing Bescot on an Oxley to Oxley via Tipton and Bescot ecs move during which time it also passed Wolverhampton station where it was cancelled.

Due to defective West Coast Railway Company Stock the fully booked out 'Electric Scot Farewell Tour' had to be cancelled at Wolverhampton with CDL Problems. This was a huge dissapointment to all the people who were hoping to travel on the tour that day. No two people felt it more than myself and best friend '87006' who grew up with these amazing loco's on our back door step in Macclesfield. Only to see them replaced by Italian pieces of plastic that Virgin preferred to 'Proper Locos!'..! So ...
