Sooo close to Gold but no cigar. I'm sure that with one more night of practice I could get it. I'm less than 10k away, probably more like 5k away judging by IBitePrettyHard's 140k gold star RB2 run on scorehero. But I'm kinda pissed that after 20 takes I couldn't quite get there. I did get #1 on the RB1 leaderboards, though, as of 30-Oct-2008. If anybody beats me on this song (playing RB1) you can post a video response. This was my 10th and best take. By the time I was on my 20th take, I was hitting all the parts I missed in my 10th take, but couldn't hit the parts I HIT in the 10th take. Sheesh. I got tired and frustrated so I quit. I hate waiting for that intro to finish, too. 20 times waiting for that is enough. Wow, I sound so negative. Sorry. I like this run well enough. This is the movie of the 2008 Shape Memory Alloy (SMA) finger in operation. It has 192 positions, and uses hot and cold water flowing through silicone tubes to heat and cool the Nitinol SMA, resulting in actuation. It was designed to have anthropomorphic motion, and uses steel wires for tendons. This was developed by a senior undergrad Mechanical Engineering team from the University of Utah, consisting of Tim Anderson, Marshall Floyd, Rob Green, Alan Romney, and Chris Root under the advisory of Dr. Stephen Mascaro.

Ni-Ti Shape Memory Alloys (SMA) alloys have been attracting attention due to a number of desirable properties (shape memory effect,...) The basis of the shape memory effect is a reversible solid-state phase transformation. Ni-Ti SMA transform martensitically from B2 cubic austenite into monoclinic B19' martensite either directly or via rhombohedral R-phase. In the form of films they have also the potential for batch fabrication and, thus, Ni-Ti films are attractive materials for microfabrication and integration in micro-miniature systems composed of mechanical elements, actuators, sensors and electronics made on one chip.
