I made this video on board the Amtrak California Zephyr line train No. 5 during a Westbound trip from Denver, Colorado to Provo, Utah. A CSX rail train passes by Worcester, MA station on the beautiful spring day of May 22, 2007. Next, an MBTA commuter train, P513, arrives and terminates. Finally, Amtrak 449, the Lake Shore Limited, arrives and departs for Albany-Rensselaer, NY.

On May 1, 1971, Amtrak became Wisconsin's rail passenger carrier. Passenger service along the Burlington Northern's Mississippi River Route ended as did all service on the Chicago & North Western. Famous train names such as the Milwaukee Road's Hiawathas, C&NW's Streamliners, and Burlington Northern's North Coast Limited disappeared. They just recently put in the concrete road dividers at this crossing. Some semis have tried to turn here at this intersection. Well, one was not very successful today as he drove into the gate and bent it (you can see this in the video how it is sticking way at an angle). This Crossing is on a Very Steep hill, and Has Light's on top too! This crossing has 12x24" Safetran Lights and a Extreemly Rusty WRRS Mechanical bell that sounds Very good Regardless! BTW, I ment to say "South Bound" This Train has a Diffrent horn!

Amtrak's Auto Train just north of Sanford, FL in January, 2007. While I was setting up to record this, someone called the Seminole Co. Sheriff's Department, so I had a nice long conversation with a deputy about exactly why I was trying to videotape a train- he's just off camera even as I recorded this!

The day that was: 05-26-07. To get this much quality footage on this run was amazing. The Empire Builder beginning in St. Paul, MN and ending in Hastings on BNSF and CP tracks. There is some good audio here of the engines going full throttle and some unique shots taken. Enjoy

In this package we will start in Vancouver, Washington as a BNSF Shuttle Train leaves the Fallbrigde Subdivision and enters a Vancouver switching yard. From there, we go to downtown Portland to watch an Amtrak train enter the yard at Union Station. After that we will watch an Amtrak Talgo Train roll into the Station, before heading into the West Hills to watch a MAX train from on top of a bridge on Southwest Vista Avenue.

An Amtrak and a freight train (pulled by CP 8611) pass through Oakwood, Wisconsin on Canadian Pacific's C&M Subdivision. The Milepost 72.7 Defect Detector gives a readout for each train.

Amtrak Acela Train 2253 departs westbound for Philadelphia and Washington DC from Newark-Penn Station. The reason it took so long for 2253 to depart in the beginning was because someone ran to board at the last second and the train got held up. Today's equipment is 2004 on the point and 2018 brings up the rear as the trailing motor.
