A short video of Bamburgh Castle and beach. This was early October, and while the sun is shining and there are beautiful blue skies, don't be fooled, it was "bitter" cold! The wind was literally blowing me along the beach as you can see when I film the sea foam, I have never seen anything like it. Northumberland beaches are some of the most beautiful I have ever seen, but the high price to pay is the terrible artic winds that blow straight down to them. When its hot here, its beautiful, but once those cold gales start, its virtually impossible to function. On the video you will see an archway in the castle, as we walked through it, we had to turn around and face away from the wind as it literally stole the breath from your lungs. Even so, Northumberland is a stunning place to visit, very rich with History and you can literally stand on the beach infront of a Castle and see another in the distance. On this video you can see Lindisfarne Castle on the Holy Island on a few of the photo's in the distance. The larger island you see is one of the Farne Islands. ...oh NO! I just realised I spelled Bamburgh wrong on the video at the beginning.. so accept my apologies, there is no way I am taking it down after all the lovely compliments on it, just close your eyes on that bit ok :) lol Hope you enjoy.. A painting of Bamburgh Castle by sunset in Northumberland. A stunning place I visited when I was about 15 years old, full of atmosphere. This is a shortened version of the film I took, speeded up.
