The Standard has been covering the recent Moat Brae House saga, which is under threat of being demolished. The building was the childhood home of JM Barrie, the author of children's favourite Peter Pan and where he found his inspiration for the ever popular tale. Dumfries resident David Slater kindly made this film about the building.

An original composition in the style of bagpipes - written and played on keyboards by John Walker (that's ME folks!) and The Digital Orchestra. I am hoping that one day 'Return To Glen Brae' will be heard by the "right person in the right place at the right time" ... everybody keeps telling me that this could (and will be!) as big a hit as "Mull of Kintyre"... Or as popular as "The Highland Cathedral". Now, wouldn't that be wonderful? (For my ego... and ...erm ... my 'bank balance ...

around 1:30pm RCMP chased this blue car around , boxing him in at one point in a school yard but the man managed to get away , he was going thru side streets by the UdeM campus , Rockland, Braemar, Massey, Donald cutting across Elmwood drive and north on Broadway Ave, he turned onto Riley ave. where Police boxed him in at the corner of Elmwood drive and Riley ave in Sunny Brae part of Moncton, The drivers window was broken and one man was taken away by Police.

A meeting held in Dumfries Academy, by the recently formed Moat Brae Trust. Moat Brae trust has been formed to save this house and garden from being razed to the ground. The house and garden are of great Importance to the town of Dumfries and the country. The reason being, this is the house where the famous author JM Barrie, played when a little boy. In later life inspired him to write the famous childs story Peter Pan about the boy who never grew old. If you can help the trust save this ...

This is very strange scene. The 'Electric Brae', known locally as Croy Brae. This runs the quarter mile. The configuration of the land on either side of the road provides an optical illusion making it look as if the slope is going the other way.
