BRANCH LINE - 1 - Sir John Betjeman

Part 1 - A 1963 BBC programme showing the 24 mile S&D line from Evercreech Junction. In this first episode we reach Highbridge - then the end of passenger services.

Branchline Train Chase, a GE B23-7 Running On Rough Track

We chase Camas Prairie Railnet # 3 North as it leads a local from Flagg Center IL to Rockford to do some switching. The Rockford Branch is in pretty bad shape, as you will see in the video as the local bounces, and ambles along. The train runs Monday-Friday. I know the lighting isn't the best, but I had to make due with what I had. This was filmed on Thursday, 6-12-08.

Thomas the Tank Engine Ertl - "Branch Line Hero"

Unfortunately, this may be the last ertl episode ever. This was finished back in June, and I was waiting until now to post it. I am not sure if I want to continue filming Thomas Ertl. It's not really because of the popularity, because if people don't watch it, I don't care. I have some good ideas for episodes, so if I ever feeling like making an episode, I will. But filming ended after this. I am going to start focusing on my personal life film career. I am working on a movie for a film ...

Hayling Billy - Havant & Hayling Island Branch Line

Last Days of the Hayling Billy. The line was opened by the LBSCR for goods on January 19th 1865, and for passengers on July 16th 1897. Over the winter of 1962 it was decided to close the branch line, the reason being the old timber bridge that crossed Langstone Harbour needed expensive repairs. The company could not afford the repairs and thus the line took its final fare paying customers on November 3 1963. Here is a link to another great video of the hayling billy. www.youtube.com...

The Last Working Semaphore Signals on a London Branchline.

Here are a few shots of the semaphore signals at Greenford Station on the disused South Ruislip to Old Oak Common branch. These Signals are due to be replaced soon (late 2009/early 2010) by the coloured light signal when Crossrail goes ahead, so i was kind of lucky to get them in their final days of working. Sorry about me talking, my arms kind of hurt and my battery was low. Chiltern Railways Trains and Wrexham & Shropshire Trains were diverted to Paddington due to engineering works to the ...

Branch Line Action on the Rockville Sub

This is just a fiew clips of various trains on the CSX branch line on my winter route. We begin with a cab ride on the Rockville Railway Association's train trip, led by leased CP GP-9, renumbered to 7. We'll see a CSX train loaded with aviation fuel and a leased CN SD40-2 from the cab of number 7. Then the excursion gets on the move and the engineer gives some nice horn action all the way through Rockville. Next, we catch an eastbound CSX with two ex-ATSF SD40-2's. CSX aquired several of ...
