After visiting the Danube spring we were eating an awesome meal at the Fürstenberg brewery (Schnitzel with beer sauce (didn't tasted like beer at all but anyway very good)). We're leaving Donaueschingen for today with some pictures from there. BattlefieldDoktor and britishsazzy followed the suggestion of fecoki and we were finding the spring of the great Danube river. It is the second largest river of Europe. Oh and by the way, the Rhine isn't the largest river of Europe but only Germany's largest river. The largest river of Europe is the Wolga. In Donaueschingen the rivers Brigach and Breg are going together. With the spring of the Donau (Danube) there it is the start of the Donau (Danube). Le plus haut sommet est le Feldberg, qui culmine à 1493 mètres. Les sommets notables sont le Feldberg (1493 m), le Herzogenhorn (1415 m), le Belchen (1414 m), le Schauinsland (1284 m), le Kandel (1242 m), le Hinterwaldkopf (1198 m), le Hornisgrinde (1164 m), le plus haut sommet du nord de la Forêt-Noire, et le Schliffkopf (1055 m). Région bien irriguée, la Forêt-Noire est traversée dans sa partie centrale/est (autour de Donaueschingen et Villingen) par la ligne de partage des eaux entre l'Atlantique et la Mer Noire. Le Rhin contourne le massif par le sud puis l'ouest, recevant pour affluents le Kinzig, le Murg et, à Mannheim seulement, le Neckar, qui traverse le massif en direction du nord avec ses affluents, l'Enz et le Nagold. Le Danube résulte du confluent de la Breg et de la Brigach et s'écoule vers l'est. La Forêt-Noire borde le plateau de la Baar au sud-est. Arnold.
