Buryat people Branch of the Altaic family: Mongolian The Buryats or Buriats, numbering approximately 436,000, are the largest ethnic minority group in Siberia and are mainly concentrated in their homeland, the Buryat Republic, a federal subject of Russia. They are the northernmost major Mongol group. Main religions are Tibetan Buddhism and shamanism. Buryats share many customs with their Mongolian cousins, including nomadic herding and erecting huts for shelter. Today, the majority of Buryats live in and around Ulan Ude, the capital of the republic, although many live more traditionally in the countryside. Following the result of the judgement of the Genetic fingerprinting, Japanese Genetic fingerprinting is so similar to Buryat. Although Korean, Southern Chinese, then Taiwanese have something in common with Japanese, you can find only each one individual.But there are 30 people who have a lot of common with Japanese in Buryat.The origin of 90 percent of Japanese is around Baikal lake. Baikal, the world's largest and oldest lake, was recently voted one of Russia's seven wonders. It lies in Southern Siberia, between the Irkutsk region and the Republic of Buryatia. Known as the 'Blue eye of Siberia', Baikal contains more water than all the North American Great Lakes put together. The Island of Olkhon is the largest on Lake Baikal.

Shamaness Altanceceg gets possessed by a spirit of a teenage girl,who according to legend was an exceptionaly powerful shaman despite of her young age. She died as a result of 'inter-shamanic' rivalry at the age of 16 or 18. Some say that her rival, an other powerful shaman poisoned her. Now the Buryats believe that she is a spirit (ongon) who can possess shamans and speak through them. The song is in fact believed to be sung by the young girl. The man in green apron is the shamans assistant.

Только благодаря совместным усилиям процветает любимое детище односельчан - ансамбль "Ая-ганга".

The 37 children aged from 5 to 13 are from ethinic groups Oroqen(鄂倫春族), Evenk(鄂温克族), Daur(達斡爾族), and Buryats(布裏亞特) and Barhu(巴爾虎) tribes of Mongol(蒙古族) which form the 56 ethnic groups of China. 在燈紅酒綠、熙來攘往的城市生活中，人們喪失了追求夢想的信念、忽略了內心的聲音。五彩呼倫貝爾草原兒童合唱團源自一個純淨的夢想。來自呼倫貝爾的鄂倫春、鄂溫克、達斡爾、布裏亞特、巴爾虎五個草原部落的孩子組成了合唱團，用西洋和聲的演繹方式，配以現代化的編曲配器，讓古老的草原童謠煥發出勃勃生機。 　　 五彩呼倫貝爾合唱團是國內第一支全部由少數民族孩子組成的合唱團。演唱曲目來自五個不同民族的古老童謠及團內藝術家的創作。團內一共36名孩子，最大的不過13歲，最小的僅僅5歲。他們在短短的幾個月內，不但掌握了童聲分聲部合唱的技巧，還掌握了其他民族的語言發聲方式。他們的歌聲發自內心。 大音希聲。大象無形。音樂是無國界的語言。每一首歌都是一個故事。故事跌宕、歌聲也隨之百轉千回：【海拉爾河】、【烏拉爾吉】中的無盡蒼涼和源遠流長、廣泛流傳于巴爾虎草原的【夢中的額吉】猶如夢中的嗚咽，流浪的孤兒在低聲哼唱、思念媽媽；除了搜集、整合各個民族的童謠，五彩呼倫貝爾兒童合唱團的藝術家們也進行了一系列創作工作：【五彩的敖包】通過蒙古族頌歌的古老結構形式，贊頌有天下第一敖包之稱的白音浩紹敖包，加上鄂溫克族獨具一格的襯詞，描繪了當代年輕鄂溫克人的風采；【百鳥會】以達斡爾族民歌爲基礎，融入鄂溫克族、鄂倫春族、蒙古族等民族的襯詞，描述在呼倫貝爾春暖花開的季節裏、彙聚在森林草原的各種鳥類交談和歡唱的自然景觀。

Ламаистский храмовой праздник в честь будды Майтреи. 2007 г. Участники церемонии провозят вокруг монастыря колесницу со скульптурой Майдари, в которую впрягается ритуальная деревянная лошадь зелёного цвета. Церемония символизирует объезд Майдари вокруг Вселенной и распространение на неё его благодати.

Театр Байкал спектакль-стихия "Угайм Сулдэ" (Дух предков). г. Улан-Удэ, респ. Бурятия. This is an epic story that depicts the legends and customs of nine Buryat-Mongolian tribes (bulagat, ekhirit, uryankhai, bayad, khori, oirat, khongoodor, barga, uzemchin) and their totem animals. The stunning choreography is accompanied with exquisite live national instruments music featuring beautiful buryat live singing.

The video was recorded during a sacrificial ritual in Mongolia near Ulaanbaatar in 2004.After the essential part of the ritual, the shaman puts a cup of milk or vodka on her drum and circles three times clock-wise with it, and throws the cup away If the cup falls to the ground with its mouth up, it means that the offerings were accepted by the spirits and the ritual was successful. In this case, the client or the person responsible for the sacrifices and offerings circumambulates the cup three times (also colck-wise), bends three times before it, and drinks the few drops left from it. If the cup falls upside-down, the divination has to be repeated, and additional sacrifices have to be offered.
