A CSX local with two GP40-2s in YN3 paint works an industry off of Assembly Street in Columbia, SC. This area used to be a thriving industrial complex in Seaboard Coast Line days. The cool part of this shot is that at first, you might not know where the train is going to come from.

My new atlas C40-8 CSX in the new yn3. Right now it just sits in a neutral idle and you hear the air pump , then the blower fans ,then i start to move it down the track to the yard all custom weathering i did myself. Sorry for some sound distortion , old camera and a little to close to the loco = bad sound, much nicer in person

CSX 419 & 411 with loaded coal train V605 stalls coming off the Salsbury Branch just outside Meyersdale, PA. The engineer informs the dispatcher that they have no sand. Watch closely as these two brutt AC4400 actually lunge, and bounce up and down trying to get traction coming up the steep grade of the branch to the mainline. With the locomotives in #8 notch, the hood doors viberate, and you can here the wheels grinding in the sand. It may be a slow video, but you will see what it takes to ...

CSX 62-car military train heads northbound through Tucker, Georgia on the Abbeville Subdivision at 6:34 PM on 6/1/2008. This train only identified itself via the lead locomotive number (CSXT #5271 ES44DC), so I do not have a train number. The track to the right is the Tucker house track, with CSXT #6899 (GP60 ex. LLPX) awaiting its next local assignment.

CSX #7769 leads a short fastfood train with a C40-8. This is the same crossing as in the last video, this time on the other side. A relay glitch has caused the gate to lower, before the lights start flashing.

A CSX rail train passes by Worcester, MA station on the beautiful spring day of May 22, 2007. Next, an MBTA commuter train, P513, arrives and terminates. Finally, Amtrak 449, the Lake Shore Limited, arrives and departs for Albany-Rensselaer, NY.

Captured at New Lenox, this was an unbelievably amazing scene. It was well worth the two and a half hour wait as well. These beauties are enroute to the National Railway Equipment (NRE) in Silvis, IL. They're soon to be rebuilt. Truly a once in a lifetime moment! I've only seen a handful of CSX Dash 7's in my lifetime ...

On a gorgeous autumn day, Amtrak #449, the Lake Shore Limited, arrives at the Worcester, MA station. The train departs westbound for Albany, NY. A CSX mixed train rolls by and a CSX stack train comes off the Providence & Worcester line. MBTA #P513 arrives from Boston and terminates.

Ever wonder how they put down ballast? This is a CSX MOW train working in Lebanon Junction, KY back in 2006.

NS 072 (CSX Q741 Empty Tropicana Train Reroute) w/ 2 AC6000CW's charges east up the grade towards Woods at Front Royal Jct (B50.0). This train is making an appearance on the H-Line and B-Line due to a derailment on the Anacostia River Bridge in Alexandria. Several more reroutes are expected to run this way. Ironically, last year at the same very time, CSX had to close down the Anacostia Bridge due to structural problems, which caused several CSX trains to be routed this way....
