On the night of November 20th 2003 there was a tragic accident on the Cuyahoga Valley Line in Merriman Valley that claimed the life of a man from Medina Ohio.On this day wich would have been his 50th Birthday,I wanted to stop with Mr.Shaffer to honor his memory and plant a couple of flags next to the cross that was erected next to the area where his body came to rest. Mr.Shaffer and I both send our condolences to his friends and family who lost him so suddenly on that tragic night.God Bless You....

alex and I rode the CVSR (canton-akron flyer) and we got super lucky and got an awsome cab ride all the way to akron and back! engineer Kevin Chevalia was very kind to let us ride in the cab and blow the horn at a few crossings! what an experience! just the way to end the summer. i hope all train fans can have this awsome unreal experience. thanks Kevin! engine FPA-7, an old alco, still retains its B&O paint. which is what this route used to be. and what a horn it has!!...
