This is the second built orthodox church in England. Commisioned to St Nicolas in 1871, patron saint of sea farers. Henry Summes was the master builder . The books of the church record dates well before that date. Located at Berkley street in Toxteth , a poverty stricken part of Liverpool now, but one of the most affluent parts of UK in the 19th century. (tel 0151 709 9543)

On the Magical Mystery Tour: St. Peter's Church in the Woolton area of Liverpool. It was here that John Lennon and Paul McCartney met for the first time. John Lennon's group "The Quarrymen" were playing at a Church fete here on July 6, 1957. The graveyard at the church is also a part of Beatles history as the location of the grave/gravestone of Eleanor Rigby.
