Still uploading stuff that we took during the last year's trip to Red Lake and Oshkosh. Here's DHC-3 'Otter' with a 1000 hp radial engine at Red Lake. They say it is the 'Polish made' engine. Seems like its true. However, the Antonov-2 biplane powered by the same kind of engine. The Soviets in 70s (not quite sure, though of the exact time) sold a license to build An-2s in Poland, and probably the engine went along with the plane. Darrell Watts' de Havilland DHC-3 Otter scale model with 11' wingspan on floats. Beautiful plane! Crashes at the end, but an easy rebuild. A call to Fiberglass Specialties for a new cowl and a tube of epoxy. Also we had to check out my other two favorite planes!

This is a video of a 1951 De Havilland DHC-3 Otter taking off from Bull Moose Lake in Ontario, Canada. We are flying to Red Lake which is approximatley 40 minutes away. I was lucky enough to be sitting up front with the pilot!
