Hyper Dyne Sidearms arcade 1 coin clear
Sidearms was one of few games I played better than my brother long ago. I mashed button so hard, tip of finger nail got torn off all the time. I used PS joypad on MAME, so my fingernail is safe. It took several try to to make 1 coin clear gameplay. Speed of your robot can be insane. you move so fast, sometimes you fly through bullets without any harm.(especially robot's legs) |

VS: Dyne (Q-Bee,HK) vs kokoinu (LI,DE)
I have to admit, aside from doing terribly, this was one of the most fun sets I've had with an opponent in this game on 2df. Though he was from Japan, the gameplay was perfect, I just stunk. :P Either way, enjoy this fantastic performance on koko's behalf and enjoy the matches in general :) |

3S: Dyne (12) vs Shinshay (RE)
Another 2df casual with one of the more versatile opponents, a match just for fun since he decided to give Remy a try :) (Constantly trying to get the best quality for viewing, this is my first attempt with a different aspect ratio. Best viewed under high quality / fullscreen) |

Low LV Dyne Battle
Dyne is the easiest fight in this challenge next to the MP's at the beginning. Just steal a Right Arm from a Bomb on Mt. Corel and use it on him. |

FFVII Hard Mod - Low Level No Items - Dyne
This a modified version of FF7 which enhances the HP/MP and stats of enemies and bosses. Don't bother with asking me where to find it. Google will be your loyal guide and friend. Well, this fight certainly was a challenge. Dyne's Needle Gun does around 600-610 dmg, nearly all of Barret's HP. First problem...Barret's Cure spell heals for only 370-380, not nearly enough to be ready for the next Needle Gun. Other problem...dealing damage. Dyne's insane MDef makes magic attacks useless. Compounded with the healing trouble mentioned above, it seems like things are not going to be easy. Thankfully the solution here comes in the form of Seal materia and Poison materia. Seal materia has Sleepel which Dyne can be affected by. It doesn't last forever though. Lasts long enough for 3 actions at max battle speed. If Dyne gets the first attack off before you can put him to sleep, Sleepel must connect or you're dead. Once sleeping, cast Bio. Hope that it poisons. If it fails to do so, you might want to restart because you will need all the MP you can get here. If everything goes to plan at this point, you have just enough time for Barret to spend his next two turns casting Cure on himself to get back to full health before Dyne wakes up and attacks. The luck based part of this fight is the need to recast Sleepel to put Dyne back to sleep. If it misses, you're more likely going to die. Assuming this all goes well, you just put Dyne to sleep, cast Cure twice, then Defend, giving you insurance if he criticals at all. The process repeats until he's out of HP. Then you have to hope he doesn't use his final attack. It does a bit more damage than Needle Gun, but it's enough to potentially one shot Barret if he isn't defending and at full HP. Pretty amazed that I got this on the first real attempt for how much luck I needed. Music: Maverick Boss Theme from Megaman X8 |

FFVII - Level 6 Barret vs Dyne (NIIENA)
NI = No Items IE = Initial Equipment NA = No Accessories Materia: Restore This one was a lot tougher than the NMIENA battle, since I only have 8 heals and Cure doesn't even fully recover Barret's HP. Dyne starts attacking twice when his HP falls below 600, and if you only have no turn between his turn then, you have to heal twice and then use a limit break in order to survive. With only 8 heals, that obviously won't work when Dyne has 1200 HP and Barret only deals a little more than 100 damage with his limit break. In order to deal 1200 damage before my MP ran out, I had to be able to get two turns between Dyne's turns when I needed to heal. That's only possible by turning the battle speed all the way down and taking advantage of the fact that the ATB bar fills faster when you just got a limit, and the fact that limit breaks have priority. Also, I had a lucky moment in this battle where the miss made up for the critical hit just before. |

FFVII - LLNMNI Challenge - Learning Ungarmax + Dyne
LL = Low Level (limit = 29) NM = No Materia NI = No Items So, did anyone figure out how to learn Ungarmax without getting EXP? Well, here's the answer. It's very luck reliant, though. You only have a 1/16 chance of encountering a Cactuar and you won't survive too many Sand Worm battles. They always open the battle with Sandstorm, which deals 100+ damage. As you can see, I was lucky this time. Oh, and the Cactuar only gives you 1 EXP, so it's not a big deal if you defeat him. Dyne is the reason why you learn Ungarmax. It would have been possible without it if he didn't start attacking twice every turn when his HP falls below 600 (50%). I don't see any other options. FFVII - Level 6 Barret vs Dyne (NMIENANBI)
NM = No Materia IE = Initial Equipment NA = No Accessories NBI = No Battle Items This is the shortest and easiest battle in the entire challenge, so I decided to add one more restrictino here: No Battle Items. Battle Items are items that deal damage or inflict statuses. When Dyne has less than half of his HP left, he starts attacking twice per turn, but Barret's HP is just too low for him to be able to be guaranteed to survive three combos. This means you have to heal every other turn. I did one mistake where I used a limit break on the second turn after healing, but thankfully, Dyne's next attack missed. |

Hyper Dyne Sidearms - pc engine (1989)
Capcom classic brought to the pc engine by NEC Avenue. stages 1~3 of this often frustratingly hard shmup. NEC Avenue released this first on a 2 megabit card (got USA release for Turbo grafx-16) then later on as Sidearms Special on CD featuring redbook audio tracks (which remains Japan only). |

Kiddin' With Melow-Yellow-Dyne (prt 1)
This is NOT a tutorial. This is NOT even funny. I am still feeling very ill, but I wanted to put something up, and this was the best I could do ATM. I hope you folks get a minor giggle out of it. I pretty much show you how to Instantiate Melodyne; how to Transfer Audio into the plugin; and how to do some basic moving of the notes. That's it. And maybe I show how to route Audio to a Bus, and then back to another track - so you can conserve resources and whatnot. Really sorry it is not more informative. Take care - and rawk'n'roll. |

FF7 NENENI Challenge: Dyne
NENENI stands for No Exp (and using the lowest level party possible) No Escape No Items. No Exp is acquired through setting all monster exp values to 0, this is the only way in which the game mechanics have been altered. Ah...got lost in the desert before this and wandered for 40 minutes, barely making it here. And barely making it out of here. It's a straightforward story, I'll let the video tell it. Stats shown at the end of video because I have epic memory, walking into the Dyne fight before recording the stats. Tracks used: Dirge of Cerberus - Fight Tune "Girl Named Shelke", Romancing SaGa Minstrel Song - Absolute Freedom -Gray- (wow, the quality on the latter gets kompressed something fierce) |
