Born in Naples, Ferdinando Carulli was at first a cellist, but turned as a young man to the guitar. He moved in 1808 to Paris, where he remained until his death in 1841. Siciliana by Ferdinando Carulli This is a popular piece by Carulli. I've played it as a kid and it's always been a favorite of mine from the classics for guitar. Normally I prefer playing contemporary pieces these days but some classics are well worth playing too and this is one of them - simple yet really nice flowing. Played on an Esteve 9C/B guitar

Andante from Carulli (Estudio n° 18 from the Carulli's method), I play it at middle tempo, I really prefer it at this speed. A great thanks to my friends Yarods and LittleCR because I was inspired by their feelings of this piece :-)
