My family and I were vacationing in New England and we just happened to be in town for the Fryburg Fair (in Maine). I'd never seen a horse pull before, nor been to a county fair for that matter so I thought it'd be exciting to watch. All I can say is WOW, such power! The sleds are 3000+lbs of concrete. Starts at the Fryeburg Fair Grounds and ends in in Bethel, Maine. Drive goes through the White Mountain National Forest on state route 113. This drive to Bethel takes an hour and it will take you an hour to get back to the fair, but it is a recommended drive to see Maine fall foliage. This was done on Sept. 25th, 2007 around Noon.
