GERALDINE PAGE AFTER WINNING HER OSCAR (1986)

GERALDINE PAGE

Geraldine Page 1/11 Dear Heart (1964)

This is my favorite Page performance of all time (tied with Trip to Bountiful). Meet Evie Jackson, a woman who never met an awkward situation she didn't create herself. She will walk right up to a stranger and say "I like your wig!" and brings her own light bulbs on vacation to replace the ones in her hotel room. This should have been another Oscar nomination for Page. With wonderful performances by Glenn Ford and Angela Lansbury.

Geraldine Page~Tribute

A tribute to Geraldine Page, legendary actress of stage and screen. My current favorite actress, next to Bette Davis, of course.

Geraldine Page 1/12 Summer and Smoke (1961)

Page is Alma Winemiller, sexually repressed minister's daughter who lusts after her neighbor all her life. Tennessee Williams' play comes to the screen with a wonderful performance by Geraldine. With Laurence Harvey (miscast if you ask me), Rita Morena and Una Merkel. This was Page's first Oscar nomination for lead actress, and second overall.

Geraldine Page in 'Interiors' - the church.

Geraldine Page / Interiors - Rid of Me \ PJ Harvey

"Mother? Is that you? You shouldn't be here. Not tonight. I'll take you home. You look so strange and tired. I feel like we're in a dream together. Please don't look so sad. It makes me feel so guilty. I'm so consumed with guilt. It's ironic... because, uh... I've cared for you so... and you have nothing but disdain for me, and yet I feel guilty. I think you're... really too perfect to live in this worid. I mean, all the... beautifully furnished rooms, carefully-designed interiors ...

THE WONDERFUL GERALDINE PAGE ON HER BEST ACTRESS OSCAR (1986)

GERALDINE PAGE

Interiors (Woody Allen) - Geraldine Page and E.G. Marshall

The magnificent performance by Geraldine Page in Woody Allen's Interiors--inspired in tone and character by Ingmar Bergman's films. One of Allen's "serious" films, gorgeous cinematography, and an all-around devastating look at the how cold and manipulative family relations can be. Perhaps Allen's most insightful exercise. Not easy to watch; many people give up on this film before it's well underway, but it builds into a dramatic payoff that is nothing less than brilliant....
