Paul GODWIN (Pinchas Goldfein) born in Sosnowiec (Upper Silesia, Poland), died 1982 in Driebergen, Holland. He left Sosnowiec as a teenage boy to go to warsaw, where he studiem violin in Warsaw Conservatory. Peter Godwin - Images of Heaven

This ravishing tune was composed by a Polish composer Fanny Gordon (Polish title - "Przy samowarze" meaning "By a Tea-Kettle"). It was a great "schlager" in Poland in the end of 1920s. Here we have the really hotdance German-Russian version by Paul Godwin Orchester and Arpalin Numma, singing in Russian. Recording: Grammophon, 1929
