Complete biografie van Groover In Mei 2003 is Groover als ska/reggae/funk-band opgericht. Het eerste jaar werd vooral gebruikt voor het schrijven van nummers en het toevoegen van bandleden. Voor het Bergs Songfestival is het eerste eigen nummer Da Funk opgenomen op een verzamel-cd. Vanaf 2004 ging het echt lopen en werd er steeds meer opgetreden. Met voornamelijk eigen werk speelden we door heel het land. In de tussentijd zijn er wat bezettingswisselingen geweest. Oudere nummers zijn geschrapt of herschreven en er is veel nieuw materiaal bijgemaakt. In Maart 2006 is de eerste single opgenomen bij Ochtendhond Platen en dit zorgde voor nog meer optredens en media-aandacht. We hebben de bezetting in Januari 2007 uitgebreid met 2 zangeressen en dit heeft een hele nieuwe dimensie aan onze sound gegeven. De single is opnieuw ingezongen en er is een Europese verzamelska-cd uitgebracht door het label Alcohooliganska records. Hierop is het nummer Lucky Bastard van Groover opgenomen. Op 15 Maart 2008 is ons eerste volledige album uitgebracht met een uitverkochte cd-presentatie! Uit het buitenland komen er regelmatig leuke reacties. Op www.myspace.com/grooverboz zijn er al meer dan 1300 bands uit heel de wereld verbonden met Groover. Ook wordt er steeds vaker met grote namen gespeeld, z.a: Beef, Jaya the cat, Relax, Aux Raus, jeckyll & Hyde, Gruppo Sportivo, Mark Foggo & skasters, Leaf, Di-rect, Mad Caddies enz... We zijn een erg veelzijdige band. Zo geven we ieder jaar presentaties aan jongeren van basisscholen over het oprichten van je eigen band, het herkennen van muziekstijlen, instrumenten en het maken van je eigen muziek. De jeugd blijkt iedere keer weer een dankbaar publiek te zijn en dit is altijd een fantastisch feest. Groover is een vrolijke ervaren veelzijdige ska / reggae band die elke muzikale uitdaging aan wil gaan!
