Striking the barrels is the name for a process of filing and sanding shotgun barrels to remove heavy pitting and scratching. This is done before the final polishing process. In this GunTec demonstration, Larry Potterfield of MidwayUSA strikes the barrels on an old Parker Brothers shotgun. It is important to use a variety of backers during this process so that the curves and lines of the metal are unchanged. The use of shaped backers also help to maintain a large amount of contact area between the abrasive and the metal. Heavy pitting or nicks are removed using a smooth, chalked file and then followed with another pass from the cloth backed abrasive.

An AMV that's been on the backburner for quite a while. Originally the first 3/4s of this were matched up with Heart's if Looks Could Kill. Unfortunately it was much to short and I didn't really want to loop the song twice or add in another so it got scrapped until i decided on something else. AC/DC and guns are a good fit but finding one with a 5 minute plus running time was impossible so I again had to scrap most of the familiar songs and go with something a little lesser known. All in all I think the songs a good fit. Any of the lyrical match up however is purely coincidental. The AMV is pretty much everything that happens between Rally and Radinov in acts 2 and 3 of Bulletproof in the space of just over seven minutes. Random videos just bother me for some reason or other. Trimmed a bit for length. Contains bloody animated violence and as my parent's would say demonic hard rock.

This video hosted by the CEO and Founder of MidwayUSA, Larry Potterfield, details the process of removing old screw holes from a gun. Whether the holes were drilled to mount a scope, receiver sight, or any other accessory, they can be easily removed using simple hand tools. This process starts by removing the first couple of threads in the screw hole using a chamfer tool. Then anneal some oval head screws that match the threads of the hole and screw them into place. Using a medium weight ball pein hammer, flatten the heads so they completely fill the hole and then dress down the screw head using a fine file. Now the metal can be polished and prepared for bluing.

This video provides step by step instructions for free floating the barrel on a bolt action rifle. Hosted by Larry Potterfield, CEO and Founder of MidwayUSA, this GunTec production makes it easy for anyone to perform this simple task. Free floating refers to the process of relieving material from the barrel channel so there is not any contact between the stock and the barrel of the rifle. This prevents the point of impact from changing due to fluctuations in relative humidity. The identification and removal of the necessary material is performed using inletting black, masking tape, and a barrel bedding tool like the ones produced by Gunline. A simple test to ensure that your barrel is free floated is to slide a dollar bill between the barrel and the stock. If the bill slides freely back and forth, then the barrel is properly free floated.

This GunTec video provides the information necessary for anyone to recrown the muzzle of their rifle using simple hand tools. Larry Potterfield, CEO and Founder of MidwayUSA, repairs and crowns the muzzle of a Winchester model 60 to demonstrate the process. Start by removing all of the damaged material from the muzzle with a smooth, chalked file. Tool marks are eliminated by polishing with varying grits of sandpaper, using the file as a backer. Once the surface is square and smooth, the crown is cut using a round headed, brass wood screw and a bit of lapping compound. Simply apply the compound to the head of the screw, chuck the screw in a hand drill, and touch the head of the screw to the muzzle while turning it at a medium speed.

Problem is, whenever she's in a high-speed chase, this mean machine always sustains some kind of damages (bullets, crashes, you name it). Yet somehow, Rally manages to restore her car to top condition and it looks brand spanking new. In the O.V.A. 'Bulletproof' we the audience get a first hand look at Rally's prized hot rod as she chases after pyschotic Russian assassin Natasha Radinov after she kidnaps May. Rally is put under serious pressure during the chase and her passenger, Becky Farrah, just wants the crazy ride to end!
