On Saturday, July 28, 2007 Silent Witnesses of Central PA lines the gay pride parade route to provide a human barrier between participants and protesters with their rainbow umbrellas. Silent Witnesses, composed of gay and straight citizens, uses silence rather than confrontation to combat protesters.

Even though they stood in the pouring rain, about 2000 or more citizens showed at the Capitol steps in Harrisburg to protest government spending and related issues as part of the 2009 Tax Day Tea Party. Moms with kids in strollers, blue collar workers, vets, retirees....it seems a wide spectrum of Pennsylvanians were on hand.
