Dark Star Orchestra celebrates the 30th Anniversary of the Grateful Dead's infamous May 8, 1977 show with a performance at the State Theatre of Ithaca May 8, 2007. Ithaca mayor Carolyn K. Peterson issued a mayoral proclamation "declaring May 8 'Grateful Dead Day' in the city of Ithaca." Syracuse TV news channel WTVH covered the show on both the 6 PM and 11 PM newscasts.
