Here is a slide show and some audio of my K5LA that I got from a seller on eBay. This one needs some restoring to make it look great again, but as you can hear, it already sounds great. The first audio set is with 50' of air line, giving it the "Squeal" at the end, this is my favorite audio that I got on this set. the next audio is with a 20' hose. The third is right off of the tank. Hope you enjoy.

This is my Nathan K5LA with new diaphragms and new seals.Regulated at 150psi, 1/2 airlines. It is permanently mounted under the right rear of my Scion XB. The rear flooring had to be cut and raised 6" so that the horns would clear.It is only used for demonstration and at special events. No air is stored at the tank when vehicle is being used on public roadways.

September 26, 2007: K5 horn battle! 80G with Conrail SD50 NS 5414 and NS 8922 meets 19G with NS SD70M-2's 2772 and 2768. 5414 has a great original all-bell foward K5LA. A clip of NS 509 is shown first, 509's power: NS 9369, UP AC4400CW 5917, and NS 9600. NS 80G is seen again later down the line at Wernersville, LISTEN TO THAT AWESOME K5LA!!! Nice doppler effect!!! 80G had been in emergency and just got done checking the train and met 19G at CP Dorf, perfect timing! You can hear that K5LA ...

I talk about the different valves I use for my horns, the different airlines used for the system and the air tank I use to store the pressurized air.

This is the first known Amtrak locomotive to receive one of the new retuned K5LA's. Production for these new K5LA's began in mid to late 2008. So far, they are most common on the CSX. 08/13/2009
