KCOP, the Chris-Craft owned station, in Los Angeles is now a FOX O&O. KCOP was the #4 ranked 10pm news in Los Angeles and eventually moved to 11pm. The station is now a MyNetwork TV affiliated duopoly based out of the studios of KTTV, FOX 11.

From 1977-mid 1979, this cool computer generated logo was used for KCOP Channel 13 Los Angeles. ALL COPYRIGHTS ACKNOWLEDGED.

From LA's well-renowned KCOP 13, is this "circle 13" ID from 1980.

These commercials aired on Thanksgiving Day 1984. Most of them are native to SoCal with some advertisers that no longer exist.

Here are a couple of news bumpers and a news Mini-Doc from UPN/KCOP News 13 here in Los Angeles. The reason I am posting this, is because my daughter and I are in the bumpers and mini-doc. I am the guy with sunglasses and black Married With Children T-Shirt, holding my daughter as we stand on the deck of the Long Beach Catalina Cruise Boat, as we sail off to the "Island of Romance".

KCOP News is late for the Sunday, June 21, 2009 Fire on Summerhill , in Santa Maria, CA. Santa Maria Fire Dept. does a good job knocking down the fire, and no injuries. On Second Thought.TV beat KCOP NEWS to the fire with better coverage up on the INTERNET.

Presented by www.tv-ark.org.uk. Charlie O'Donnell... newsman. O'Donnell is the longtime voice of "Wheel of Fortune" and a popular game show announcer; he also served as a KCOP staff announcer. During the 1980s, he doubled as one of the main anchors for KCOP's weeknight newscast. While it's common for UK news presenters to double as presenters for light entertainment, it isn't as common in the US. Thus his presence seems somewhat jarring.

Got this off an episode of "Star Trek: The Next Generation" that was recorded off a Betamax tape. Double Trivia: For the record, it was Kool and the Gang that sang the "Wheel Watcher" jingle, that was used when Vanna Appeares everytime after Pat Sajak introduces her. The jingle was also used for the CBS stations in both Philly and Chicago (I'm a 2 and 3 watcher.) Source: tv-ark.org Man that jingle got annoying!!
