Octopus Knuckle Walking To Defend Tentacles robots4farms.com

This is a short movie of this small octopus "knuckle walking" in order to defend its tentacles. Often an octopus will have its tentacles attacked by predators as they make for "a nice light snack." www.robots4farms.com

Examining the Evolutionist's "LUCY" - Part 1

http://www.answersingenesis.org Presented by: Dr. David Menton Answers in Genesis Lucy is coming to America. What you should know! Confused about the discovery of Lucy, a "missing link" between monkeys and humans? Anatomist Dr. David Menton leaves no doubt that the famous "Lucy" fossils belong to a knuckle-walking, apelike creature... who was not a lady! David Menton earned a Ph.D. in cell biology from Brown University. He served as a biomedical research technician at Mayo Clinic and then as an associate professor of anatomy at Washington University School of Medicine (St. Louis). For almost two decades he has been profiled in American Men and Women of Science—A Biographical Directory of Todays Leaders in Physical, Biological and Related Sciences. Dr. Menton has lectured throughout the United States and Canada on the creation-evolution controversy.

Atheist, Fools?

Evidence does not speak for itself, it must always be interpreted. We have the same evidence, but a different interpretation of the evidence. Answer to Comment on: Archaeopteryx Dr Alan Feduccia, a world authority on birds at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and an evolutionist himself, says: "Paleontologists have tried to turn Archaeopteryx into an earth-bound, feathered dinosaur. But it's not. It is a bird, a perching bird. And no amount of 'paleobabble' is going to change that." The skeletons had pneumatized vertebrae and pelvis. This indicates the presence of both a cervical and abdominal air sac, i.e. at least two of the five sacs present in modern birds. This in turn indicates that the unique avian lung design was already present in what most evolutionists claim is the earliest bird. Analysis of the skull with computer tomography (CT) scanning shows that Archaeopteryx had a brain like a modern bird's, three times the size of that of a dinosaur of equivalent size (although smaller than that of living birds). Archaeopteryx even had large optic lobes to process the visual input needed for flying. Furthermore, even the inner ear had a cochlea length and semicircular canal propoprtions were in the range of a modern flying bird's. This implies that Archaeopteryx could hear in a similar way, and also had the sense of balance required for coordinating flight. Modern birds do not have teeth. However, extinct birds such as Icthyornis and Hesperornis, which were unquestionably 100% birds, also had teeth. It has a 'mosaic' of characters in common with both groups but shows no true transitional structure such as a part-scale, part-feather. There are no fossil links between it and either reptiles or birds—it stands alone. True birds have been found which are assigned by evolutionists to an earlier time than Archaeopteryx. More info can be found at answersingenesis.com Answer to Comment on: Australopithecus afarensis Detailed anatomical analysis has long suggested that Lucy's kind did not walk upright. Respected anatomists like Dr Charles Oxnard (evolutionist and holder of professorships at the University of Western Australia and the University of California at Santa Barbara) have concluded from a detailed multivariate computer analysis of the bones that Lucy's kind (australopithecines) a) did not walk upright in the human manner and b) were in their overall anatomy not intermediate between apes and humans. Lucy was equipped for knucklewalking. Well after her discovery, it was shown that Lucy had the wrist-locking mechanism of knuckle-walkers, as well as the long arms, (and curved fingers and toes) of brachiators (creatures that swing through trees). Of course with 'special pleading' one could argue that the wrist mechanism was an evolutionary 'left-over'. So not surprisingly, that is what the 'Lucy walked' faction have argued. Lucy's kind had the wrong balance organs for upright walking. All of the specimens in the same general grouping as Lucy were shown to have moved in an apelike fashion, neither human nor even 'intermediate'. Sadly, in this regard the public are often misled by inaccurately reconstructed statues and images of Lucy displayed at museums and in textbooks, etc., as her feet (and hands, for that matter) are often portrayed as startlingly human-like. Many evolutionists themselves concede such errors, acknowledging that australopithecine hands and feet were 'not at all like human hands and feet; rather, they have long curved fingers and toes' even more so than apes today that live mostly in the trees. Also, CAT scans of australopithecine inner ear canals (reflecting posture and balance) by anatomist Dr Fred Spoor and his colleagues at University College, London, showed they did not walk habitually upright.
