Lydham Manor 7827 (ex GWR) on P & D SR With the Devon Belle Observation Coach at the rear on its way from PAIGNTON to KINGSWEAR. The clip catches Lydham Manor passing under Whitstone Road Bridge and running past Goodrington Main Line Sidings. This is the short stretch of line to the first stop at TANNERS ROAD Station. This is the third train caught on camera on Sunday 06 Sept 2009, whilst out on our usual Sunday walk to Goodrington Park.

enthusiasts are against the P&DSR, saying that they don't keep locomotives in original liveries along with naming them, using coloured lights etc, but I think the P&DSR GWR liveries are better than the GWR real ones, come on, your saying 'Lydham Manor' looks rubbish?, and do the signals really matter? this, visitors had the oportunity to visit engine sheds at Paignton and Chursten which has rarely been seen by the public! Along with other heritage tractions the railway operated a two train services one by steam hauled by 7827 Lydham Manor and the other diesel hauled by D7535 "Hercules". Again really bad weather hit me!! Friday weren't that good, how ever i may upload a 'decent' shot from my visit next. Over the 2 days i visited the line the following locos were in service | GWR 42xx class 4277 'Hercules (ran Both 21st and 24th) | BR (W) Manor class 7827 'Lydham Manor' (Ran 24th Only) it was a nice suprise to have 4277 running, due to the fact it was the first Ex.
