now THIS is a cool elevator! it is a vintage otis traction elevator. notice the beautiful fixtures. This is a classic example of a very well preserved classic elevator. one of the coolest elevators I have ever come across enjoy! here is a pic of the building flickr.com

This is a complete trip on the elevator at the Summit Assisted Living in Lynchburg. The workers there say it is the slowest elevator in Lynchburg :) Oh yeah, HAPPY EASTER

This is the elevator at the village court in Lynchburg. It features a Kroger store among other things. This elevators cleanliness was utterly deplorable. It did provide a nice ride though.

This is another public elevator in Lynchburg. If you know what kind it is. please let me know.. I actually was approached by a police officer after taking this. The officer was very nice. It was not a long conversation. He came up to me and introduced himself as officer ---- from the Lynchburg Police Department. He basically just asked what I was doing. this is the elevator at the Allied Arts Building in Lynchburg. I know it is not a true high speed but it is fast for this area :) One of the tallest buildings in the area as well.. at 17 floors. the building itself is beautiful inside and out. finished in 1931 this is the tallest building in Lynchburg. US elevator got their hands on these beautiful elevators and modernized them back in the 1980s

This is an older building in Lynchburg VA. the elevator is from the mid to late 70s i believe. The building itself was built in 1905

This is the elevator at the Oak Vassar Medical Building. The door is stupid and absolutely sucks. When you ring the elevator, the door opens and then closes right back. When you push the floor button, it sits there forever before it closes. Otherwise a nice elevator

this is the main elevator in the city hall. it is a hospital style. it is also SLO W. but nice. there are 2 traction elevators in the building (one is filmed) that were originally BEAUTIFUL dover elevators from the 60s. modernized last year.
